Roman cast copper alloy finger ring, incomplete; late 1st-2nd century. The back and one side of the hoop is missing; the remaining part of the hoop is bent outwards; it is circular-sectioned. The bezel is an expanded oval decorated with a relief moulded cross; the resulting four cells may once have contained enamel - there appears to be a tiny trace of red enamel within one of the cells. Length (distorted) 22.2mm, width of bezel 8.3mm, thickness of bezel 2.4mm, width of hoop 1.9mm, thickness of hoop 1.6mm, weight 1.41g. Daubney Group 3a (quarters) (unpub).

There is a lug at the back of the head which presumably held the spring, but there is no upper hook or piercing to take the chord.
