A very worn silver half real of "Spain". In, "Coins of Europe", Carson, R. A. (1962, p.315) states that this type was introduced in 1497 under Ferdinand V and Isabella I (1474-1504-1516) but continued to be minted until 1537, within the reign of Charles V. On the obverse there is a yoke, Ferdinands symbol, and on the reverse a bundle of arrows, Isabellas symbol.

A cast copper alloy spherical pommel from a medieval sword or knife/dagger. The pommel is in the form of a hollow sphere, with a broadly rectangular opening at the top and a broadly square and larger opening at the base. The top of the handle/tang would have fitted through these openings. The pommel has a pitted and uneven, patchy brown and green exterior surface. The inside of the pommel is similar, but with fewer brown patches on the surface.

A sherd of a slip-coated vessel, probably samian ware or imitation samian ware, dating from the Roman period. The vessel consists of a portion of both the foot ring and the gently curving base of the vessel. The fabric is fine and orange/brown in colour, with moderately frequent fine silicaceous inclusions. Three rim sherds, probably from two grey ware vessels dating from the Roman period.
Sherd 1: 45.1mm wide, 24.9mm long, 13.2mm from the inside of the vessel to the outer edge of the rim. Adjoins sherd 2. Moderately fine grey coloured fabric. Slightly pitted surface. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy cruciform brooch from the early medieval period. Length: 32.6mm; width: 19.4mm; mass: 5.4g. The fragment consists of the base of a bow and an incomplete foot, with the incomplete catchplate on the reverse. At the top of the fragment there is the base of an incomplete bow which projects forward at an angle of about 135 degrees. Below this there is a flat panel, with a groove and a lappet to either side. A complete tertiary debitage flake of probable Neolithic dating (4000 BC to 2350 BC).
It has been struck from a prepared core, when reducing down a nodule to form a core tool. It is blade like in form. There is retouch to the ventral face along one edge (short, abrupt, parallel). Probably made for a specific task and then discarded.
It measures 80.9 mm in length, a maximum width of 50.6 mm and is 9.2 mm thick. It weighs 36.0 g.

It has been struck from a prepared core of grey chert/coarse flint. Striking platform and butt removed by snapping. There is dubious retouch along one edge, this is possibly caused by plough damage.

A fragment of gold sheet foil with a series of decorative applied repousse marks presented on the outer face. Due to the condition and the small size of the fragment the overall design is unclear. The sheet has been folded into two and it is difficult to establish if this is deliberate and post depositional or later damage in the ploughsoil. A fragment of a post-medieval candle snuffer consisting of a fragment of an arm and the extinguishing blade. The blade is hemispherical, it is 32.25mm in length, 18.9mm wide and 2.0mm thick. The handle is broadly D shaped in cross section and tapers towards the blade. Below the break is a circular perforation. The upper side of the handle is decorated with three transverse grooves separated by two concave recesses. The lower section of the handle is flat and undecorated.
