A copper alloy Nuremberg Jetton of Hans Schultes I (1553-1584) or Hans Schultes II (1586-1603). Due to condition and illegible inscription it is difficult to refine further. The coin may be a mule as the inital mark on the obverse - wedge - is attributed to Schultes I whereas the rosette on the reverse is - attributed to Schultes II. It is the recorders opinion that it is more likely to belong to the series struck by Hans Schultes II - based on the format of the inscription and if it is a mule it is likely to date from the earlier part of the period.
