A complete but very slender cast copper alloy (bronze) short flanged axehead of very late Early to Middle Bronze Age dating, most probably of the Acton Park I metalwork assemblage and dating from c.1700 to c. 1500BC. The axehead is extremely narrow and stake like; it most probably functioning as a chisel or specialised wood working tool. The axe is undecorated and there are no signs of a median bevel or stop ridge. The axe also is undecorated. A heavily cast copper alloy ring of Roman - Modern date (50 - 1800) - most probably Roman AD 50-350. The ring is broadly circular in plan and oval in cross section. There is no obvious cast or incised decoration present. All surfaces have been finished and there are no file marks present. there is also no evidence for internal wear facets on the ring from use. The ring is a mid-green colour with a well developed, relatively thick, patina that covers all surfaces but is abraded in places. The patination of the metal would suggest a Roman or medieval date. A complete early Roman sprung Colchester derivative brooch, of Harlow type dated to the period AD 43 - 150. The brooch is complete and well preserved. The spring is held within by D sectioned short wings with transverse ribs at their apexes. It is attached to the brooch through two pierced holes through a central projecting rib - in the Harlow variant. Folded and cut sheet metal plate from a medieval buckle. The fitting is rectangular in plan with two rectangular tabs cut from one edge and folded back upon themselves (around the strap bar - now lost of a D shaped buckle). The plate is pierced in four places to take small rivets, The upper surface was gilded and small areas of this survive; there is no incised or applied decoration. The strap plate is a mid green colour with well formed surface patina. The plate measures 22.8mm length, 13.6mm width, is 1.0mm thick and weighs 1.58 grams.

An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped rectangular buckle of probable later medieval or post-medieval date (1400-1700). The buckle frame is broken and one half survives; at the mid point is a slight central bar. The pin is lost but would have been formed from a length of copper alloy sheet that was attached to the central bar by the end being folded to form an irregular 'wrap around' loop. A small pointed oval shaped cut copper alloy sheet perforated by a small rectangular hole at the mid point. The sheet is most probably from a composite handle from a knife of medieval date AD 1100-1400. It is a mid green colour with a well formed surface patina - abraded in places. The artefact measures 35.4mm length, 14.0mm width, is 1.3mm thick and weighs 2.71 grams.
