Royal Regiment of Artillery copper alloy uniform button. It has a diameter of 22mm, is hollow backed with the loop broken off. On the obverse is a crown surmounting three guns with a scroll beneath with UBIQUE, all within a scalloped edge. The inscription on the reverse is NUTTING LONDON. This type of button was in use from 1838 until 1855. However as the maker I Nutting of Covent Garden appears to have been in business only between 1800 and 1840, the button would seem to be quite closely dated to the very end of the 1830's.
