An incomplete blank silver disc probably a medieval to post-medieval coin around the size of a post medieval halfgroat/two-pence or threepence. Nothing of the design or inscription remains with the coin of uncertain ruler, mint and date. This coin has been worn smooth and it's surface peck-marked. Part of the coin is missing.

A post-medieval copper alloy one ounce recessed trade weight from a stacking set, dating to the reign of William IV with London marks and the addition of the local verification mark for Hampshire added in the reign of Victoria. There is a central depression to the reverse where material was removed to adjust the weight. It measures 30mm in diameter at the top, 27mm in diameter at the base, is max. 7.1mm tall (without rim, 4.1mm thick) and wieghs 27.12g (0.96oz). A coin weight for a gold crown of Edward VI (1547-53) or Elizabeth I (1558-1603), weighing 2.71 grams (or 41.8 grains) and dating to 1548-1603. The gold crown was first issued for Henry VIII in 1544 at 48 grains. The weight was reduced in Edward VI's reign to 42-43 grains where it remained throughout the reign of Elizabeth. Obverse: Crowned double rose within beaded circle Reverse: Crowned V over s within beaded circle Reference: Withers 333, where it is said that the weight was issued during the reign of Elizabeth I.
