A Medieval penny of Edward III (AD1327-1377), Third (florin) coinage dating AD1344-1351. The coin is severely damaged around the edges. The bust appears to be Type G. The inscription reads [EDW (A) R]ANG DN[S hYB]. Reverese shows a long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The inscription reads CIVI / [TAS / CAN / T]OR. Minted in Canterbury. North no. 1122-3. Dimensions: diameter: 12.32 mm; weight: 0.65g.
