A probable MODERN IMITATION of an Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver penny of Ethelred II (978-1016). Bare headed type, 997-1003 (North 1994, 159, ref: 774). Moneyer Leofman, Canterbury mint. The coin's weight is too high for an early-medieval issue and its style and quality of execution is poor suggesting it is a modern imitation. Obverse: +EÐELRED REX ANGLO[ ]; Bare headed bust left Reverse: LEOF[M]ANM-OCÆNT   Voided long cross Diameter: 22.3mm. Weight: 2.97g. This coin has been double struck on the obverse and reverse.

A Medieval silver-gilt iconographic finger-ring (c. 1400-c. 1500). Treasure case no. 2010 T297. The ring has a two-faceted bezel, each engraved with the sacred heart and a quatrefoil motif below. Each heart has four small indentations. The shoulders are engraved with foliate scrolls. Below the shoulders, two prominent transverse ribs divide the shoulders from the lower part of the hoop. An incomplete Late Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy openwork unidentified object, decorated in the 'Winchester style' (c.900-1100). This is the main body of the object. The object is made of a single piece of very thin sheet. It has been pressed and then folded to form a sub-triangular shape in plan. It has a central mid-rib on each face. One mid-rib is more slender than the other. There is an old transverse abraded break at the base and another at the top where the extreme tip is missing. The extreme tip of a cast copper-alloy spearhead of probable Middle to Late Bronze Age date ( 1500 BC-800 BC). The fragment is 'V'-shaped in plan, sub-lozenge-shaped in cross-section and has a rounded tip. At the centre, on both faces, it is convex and the outside edges are flat and form the base of the blade at either side. The base of the socket is 29.1mm from the tip. This implement is pitted due to old corrosion and has traces of a brown patina. There is also some active corrosion taking place.
