It is circular in plan, flaring at the upper edge, with a concave upper surface and protruding central pointed boss. The smaller end of the stud has an integral shaft or shank, rectangular in cross-section. The shank is pierced with a circular hole, 2.6mm in diameter. The bracelet rod is formed of two globular 'beads' or knops with ridged in between and at one end. The rear is slightly convex. The object is corroded and drab green. A complete cast copper alloy and gilded harness pendant suspension mount of Medieval date c. 1150-c. 1400). The top of the mount is circular in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear. At the rear are the remains of an integral stud. The lower part is flat and rectangular in plan. This part has been folded through 180° to form a hinge that held the bar which enabled the pendant to swivel. A patina has not survived although traces of gilding are visible at the front only.
