Folded lead waste of unknown date and function (AD 43-1800). This rolled strip of sheet lead that has been deliberately folded. Date and function unknown. It has been folded to form a flattened tube and has short linear indentations on the outer face. These may have been caused by a tool while folding rather than being decoration. Similar objects have been classified as a curse tablets. However, this example is possibly more modern and may have performed an entirely different function, perhaps such as a weight or ingot.
