An incomplete probable post-Medieval copper-alloy terminal, possibly from a pair of tongs (c. 1700-c. 1850).
This object is spoon-like with a projecting shaft or arm. The shaft flares in width from the break towards the bowl where it expands at each side to form a curved flange. The shaft is sub-square in cross-section. This object is drab green with buff deposits. The breaks are old.

Possibly the tip from a pair of post-Medieval tongs (c. 1700-c. 1900).
In plan, this object is triangular with an integral shank or arm at a slight angle. The triangular part is bevelled on one face and the shaft is roughly square in cross-section.
This object has a greenish brown patina with area of corrosion. The transverse break is old.
Height: 21.8mm; width: 9.2mm; thickness: 3.6mm. Weight: 2.05g.
It is too small to be part of a pair of coal tongs.
