A fragment of a cast copper alloy sword blade of Late Bronze Age date (c. 1000 BC – c. 800 BC). Length: 20.0mm; width; 22.9mm; thickness; 6.1mm; weight: 11.77g. The fragment has old breaks at each end and also along one side. Assuming that both edges were similar (prior to being broken), it would have been a flat lozenge shape in cross-section. Although it is corroded, traces of a mid-green patina survive on both faces. This fragment probably belongs to a sword of the Wilburton or Ewart Park phase of metalworking.
