A complete post-Medieval zoomorphic copper-alloy lug (handle) mount or finial, perhaps from a vessel, casket or staff (c. 1650-c.1800).
This object consists of a solid, moulded seated dog/hound, possibly in the form of a talbot and is integral with a mainly flat rectangular base (13.0mm x 8.9mm x 2.2mm).
