Incomplete leather pouch-shaped purse of probable Post Medieval date (AD 1500 – AD 1800). Length 145mm, maximum width at the top 47mm, maximum width at the base 78mm. Weight 40.83g. In plan, the purse is sub-triangular in shape. It has been made from two pieces of leather, each about 2.5mm thick, which have been sewn together and then turned inside out. At the top of the purse, near the mouth, each piece of leather has four perforations through which two apparently identical leather thongs are threaded (parts of the thongs are missing).
