A complete post-Medieval lead alloy shot (c. 1600-c. 1800). This ball is spherical with a smooth surface but is corroded in places. There is a shallow groove and there are no flattened or dished surfaces suggestive of impact. The weight suggests that it could have been used in a musket (Harding 2012). The lower part is hollow and roughly cone-shaped to house a pencil. It has a plain rim at the base and a vertical slot at the side. An incomplete post-Medieval lead alloy and iron pin (c. 1500-c. 1700). The lead alloy head of this pin is sub-square in plan and roughly pointed-oval in side view. Decoration consists of 'circlets' and nobly pimples. The iron shaft is circular in cross-section and has a diameter of 1.9mm. The head is buff and the corroded shaft is reddish brown.
