An almost complete post-Medieval lead alloy weight adapted from a copper-alloy animal 'crotal' bell (1600-1800).
The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is 8.0mm high, 11.8mm wide, 4.1mm thick and has a circular perforation.
The upper and lower hemispheres are divided equally by a horizontal circumferential joining rib. At either side of the suspension loop, about half way down the side of the upper hemisphere, is a circular sound hole. This weight is domed at the top and concave on the underside.
Holes on the underside were probably created by bubbles forming during casting. The remains of an imbedded iron wire suspension loop is visible at the top.
The weight is off-white and the surface is slightly powdery with small areas of a buff patina.

A complete lead alloy standing cylindrical weight of possible post-Medieval date (c. 1500-c. 1800).
This weight is cylindrical with an integral suspension loop and a flat base. The main body varies in height with a maximum height of 15.7mm and a minimum height of 13.0mm. At the top an off-centre suspension loop measures 9.4mm high, 9.8mm at its widest and 4.8mm thick. The off-centre circular hole with parallel sides has a diameter of 4.4mm.
This weight has a coarse surface and is grey and buff with flecks of iron corrosion.

The sides taper in width and thickness towards the bottom which has a slightly concave surface. The surfaces are partially covered with lead-alloy corrosion products. 26.9 x 19.7 x 17.8mm. Weight: 40.43g. Similar weights are illustrated and published and are thought to date 12th to 13th century (Biggs 1992: 41). However, such weights may be later.
