A probable incomplete cast copper alloy shoe-shaped rivet mount of early-medieval date. In its current state the mount measures 18.1mm by 13.2mm by 2.2mm and weighs 3g. Just over half survives, including the projecting pierced lug on the reverse. The flat plate is lozenge-shaped, but the part which has broken off would have had a rounded end. The perforated lug would have allowed the rivet to be attached to a leather strap for decorative purposes.
