Pointed tool made of red deer antler, probably a sailor's Fid. The tool is oval in cross section with a handle at one end, 19.6mm by 16.9mm by 38.3mm long, with a domed end. Below the handle there is a sharp constriction to 10.9mm by 9.6mm from which point the point of the tool narrows gradually to a rounded tip; the point is 50.7mm long. It weighs 17.48 grams. A fid is a pointed tool that was used for opening up the strands of rope when splicing, they are usually made of wood or antler. An incomplete Neolithic flint leaf arrowhead (4000 BC-2350 BC). A incomplete broad leaf-shaped arrowhead formed from a thin flake. The tip is lost but what remains suggests that the object was of elongated ogival form when complete. Both sides are invasively worked and retouch around the edges of both sides are short, low angled and parallel. This arrowhead is grey and semi-translucent. It is unclear whether the tip of the arrowhead was lost in antiquity or recently. Length: 33.3mm; width: 19.2mm; thickness: 3.2mm. Weight: 2.09g.
