A gold cufflink, one, of a pair of cufflinks, of eighteenth or nineteenth century date, AD 1750 - 1900. The frames of both discs or elements and the linking strip survive. Solid cast silver sleeve button or cufflink, comprising two discs held by the central shank, the uppermost disc stamped with two hearts beneath a single crown. The hearts are on a speckled background and just touch each other. The crowned hearts are a device associated with the marriage of Charles II and Catherine of Braganza in 1662. A similar button was found in Virginia, USA in the 1960s and published in Noel Hume 1969, fig.22. A sheet silver ferrule dating from post 1710. The flattened ferrule is made form a sheet of silver rolled into a tube with butt seam. There is a thickened collar at each end and the tube tapers. It is decorated by being pressed with a border of large flowers at the top, and a main design of a large swag of draped fabric or curtains. In the opinion of Dora Thornton, the fitting is less than 300 years old, so does not need to be declared under the 1996 Treasure Act despite being made of silver.

Silver object, baluster shaped and bent towards broken off end. The other end curved to form a strong hook. Undecorated except for one transverse band of cable ornament at top of baluster. Possibly a book clasp? Difficult to date, but perhaps 17th Century.

Two silver hollow hemispherical elements, each with a central hole. Each side is incised with a leaf or floral design which continues from one side to the other, and the pieces fit together to show how they were originally joined to form a hemisphere pierced at either side. The function of this object is not clear. Possibly the remains of a button, in which the loop, now missing, had a shank which joined both elements with a knop at the end. Compare TAR 2004, no. 236 for this type of button, commonly reported through the Treasure Act and usually dated to the late 17th Century. This design not yet reported through the Act.
