Post medieval silver stud; small circular plano-convex stud (flat on the back) with integral square-sectioned tapering spike projecting from the reverse; stud has moulded decoration of an eight-spoked wheel with two pellets in each angle. Reminiscent of late medieval/early post medieval lead buttons.

A crushed silver rumbler bell of medieval date. Comparable examples in base metal have been found in dated London contexts (see G. Egan and F. Pritchard; 1991; pp. 339, no. 1666). This example is probably 15th century in date. Similar bells were fashionable dress accessories in the 14th and 15th Centuries.
The bell has been made in two sections from silver sheet and soldered together. It measures 16.5mm wide, 6.5mm thick and weighs 2.89g.

A silver double-oval buckle of medieval date. A similar example was excavated in London, dated by ceramic context to 1350-1400. This example may be slightly later but probably can be dated to the 15th Century.
The buckle has a central transverse bar, pin and part of plate with rivet. The frame has angled outer edges. There are remains of etched foliate decoration on one side of plate and on front edges of frame.
Measures 17.5mm long, 15.7mm wide and 8.4mm thick. The weight is 3.76g.

A silver loop fastener of 16th century AD date. A similar loop fastening from Ipswich was reported through the Treasure Act (Treasure Annual Report 2001; fig. 151).
Silver loop formed into one large loop and two smaller ones for attachment to textile. On the front at the centre is an applied disc with knop and filigree ornament.
Measures 18.4mm long, 10.7mm wide and 2.7mm thick. The weight is 1.04g.

Silver vervel of Lewis and Richardson type C.i, composed of a ring of D-shaped section, inscribed on the outer face with RAFE, in capitals between outward facing arrows. On the opposite side of the ring from the inscription is a shield-shaped plaque attached latitudinally (that is, with the shield perpendicular to the ring) with a heraldic crest of a scallop shell between two fronds(?). A silver hooked tag of 16th century date. This is a typical form of hooked tag, with numerous examples having been reported through the treasure system (see, for example, TAR 2005/6, p. 143, nos. 653, 654, 657).
The head has an inverted sub-triangular back plate with a pinked edge. Attached to the upper surface are three gilt hemispherical lobes with filigree spirals and knops. A silver seal matrix. The form and engraving suggest a 16th-17th century date. Only the oval printing face survives, the suspension loop having been broken off above fluted base. The die is deeply engraved with unidentified arms, comprising a shield with a chevron and six ?pellets above and three below. Above the shield are the letters 'IS'. The perimeter is marked by a ropework border.
It measures 12.5mm high, 10.5mm wide and weighs 3.1g.

A post-medieval cast silver pendant with large attachment ring and shield-shaped escutcheon. The escutcheon is engraved on one side with the Royal arms as used by Elizabeth I and on the other with the Tudor rose. There are signs of wear on one side of the ring from use. It measures 25.2mm long by 14.2mm wide and weighs 2.87g.

A silver strap-end of probable 16th or 17th century date.
The upper portion has a flat top side, tapering long sides and a central hole containing a domed-head silver rivet. The main portion lies below and takes the form of an inverted drop-shaped plate. At the point where the upper portion meets the lower portion, the upper surface steps downwards slightly. The outer edges of the artefact angle downwards and outwards. The surfaces of the strap-end exhibit numerous file marks.

A Post Medieval silver toilet implement (probably 17th century). At one end is a perforated loop, thickness: 4.23mm; diameter: 9.00mm). The shaft is circular in cross-section and undecorated with a raised moulded bank approximately one third along the length; then two thirds of the way down are two engraved parallel lines. The shaft then flattens and curves round to form a pointed hook, probably for use as a nail pick.
