Complete silver bodkin with knop on the end and eyelet, flattened shaft and tapered point. Entire upper section is engraved. Longitudinal opening surrounded by hatching with two transverse bands of lozenge pattern. Beneath the lower band, a tongue  is engraved which points downwards along the shaft of the bodkin.  Bent below the eyelet. Length: 111 mm. Weight: 7.49g.

Silver bodkin, approximately 5 cm long from ear scoop on one end to the point where the bodkin is bent back on itself. Complete, tapering at one end, engraved along its length on both sides, with flowerheads on either side of the rectangular opening. Silver pin of bodkin type, with longitudinal opening and second circular opening at one end, central groove running down most of the length of the pin, tapered end. Complete and bent, probably as originally used. No marks or inscriptions. Dimensions: Length: 58.2mm, thickness: 2.1mm, weight: 6.11g. Discussion A common type reported through the PAS, compare an example from Tendring, Essex, 2009 T621 [ESS-F4EB81]. Conclusion: This object constitutes potential Treasure under the Treasure Act 1996 as it is made of more than 10% precious metal and is over 300 years old.
