Record ID: SWYOR-AF34B2
Object type: UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT
Broad period: MODERN
County: North Yorkshire
Workflow stage: Published
Treasure case: 2007 T92
British Museum report:
"Silver-looking metal object in the form of a terminal with leafy base broken off and bulbous leafy head with pin. Fluted shaft. Engraved foliate ornament. Halfway up this shaft a second shaft curves outwards, broken.
The metal does not look to the eye as silver and this, in combination with the heavy facture of the object, suggests the object is modern. As such, this object does not qualify as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
