Silver `ring' formed from wire of round circular section, small, not a finger-ring, nor flattened in the manner of a vervel, therefore undiagnostic and of indeterminate date.

Report on fragment of a post-medieval dress hook
Part of a silver wire dress hook comprising large loop scrolling into two smaller loops for attachment, joined by fragmentary plate with filigree decoration.
16th- 17th Century.
A similar hook from Ipswich is reported through the Treasure Act in the Annual Report 2001, no. 151, as 17th Century.
In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

Thin silver button with shank on reverse. On the front, two profiles of a man and woman, one superimposed upon the other, the front one crowned, referring to a married royal couple. The profile and facture suggest a later 17th C date in comparison with the buttons with two crowned hearts, thought to refer to the marriage of Charles II and Catherine of Braganza: Treasure Annual Report 2003, no. 224 from the Eye area, Suffolk.

The top end of a silver dress pin of bodkin type, comprising knop with pierced hole beneath it for suspension, and upper part of rectangular opening. Engraved decoration of hatched and cross-hatched lines.
Length: 2.3cm.
Date: 17th Century.
Of a type commonly reported through the Treasure Act, thought to have been introduced to England by immigrants; similar pins are recorded from Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.

Crushed silver bell, made from silver sheet hammered into two hemispherical forms, soldered together, crushed at the point at which the loop for suspension would have been inserted. Compare examples in base metal found in dated London contexts, eg: G.Egan and F.Pritchard, Dress Accessories, London 1991, no. 1666, dated c1400-50.
Similar bells were fashionable dress accessories in the 14th and 15th Centuries. This example can probably be dated to the 15th Century.
