Complete silver bodkin with knop on the end and eyelet, flattened shaft and tapered point. Entire upper section is engraved. Longitudinal opening surrounded by hatching with two transverse bands of lozenge pattern. Beneath the lower band, a tongue  is engraved which points downwards along the shaft of the bodkin.  Bent below the eyelet. Length: 111 mm. Weight: 7.49g.

The body decorated with lozenges centred with squares of waffle-type indentations; the triangles between the lozenges also with indentations, plain border between engraved lines. Dress pin in silver-gilt with large and elaborate head. Heavy spherical head with applied filigree ornament on two hemispheres joined by a plain band. On each hemisphere, four circlets each containing four-petalled flowers and knops around the circles, a knop at the top of the pin. The drawn shaft is broken off near the head. Length approx 2cm.

Triangular dress-hook; cusped backplate applied with recurving hook (broken) , attachment bar missing. On the front three hemispheres with filigree roundels and central knops; at the centre a pin with shank attaching it to the backplate, with small pierced circle of silver in form of a flowerhead which fits in middle of the dress fitting. The shank is damaged and the flower-head element is loose; it would originally have been attached to the shank by a domed-headed pin. Approx. 2.9 cm in length. 16th Century, English.

Solid cast silver sleeve button or cufflink, comprising two discs held by the central shank, the uppermost disc stamped with two hearts beneath a single crown. The hearts are on a speckled background and just touch each other. The crowned hearts are a device associated with the marriage of Charles II and Catherine of Braganza in 1662. A similar button was found in Virginia, USA in the 1960s and published in Noel Hume 1969, fig.22. This object was found in February 2001 and has been acquired by the British Museum, acquisition number: 2002,0711.1

Post medieval silver stud; small circular plano-convex stud (flat on the back) with integral square-sectioned tapering spike projecting from the reverse; stud has moulded decoration of an eight-spoked wheel with two pellets in each angle. Reminiscent of late medieval/early post medieval lead buttons. Two silver hollow hemispherical elements, each with a central hole. Each side is incised with a leaf or floral design which continues from one side to the other, and the pieces fit together to show how they were originally joined to form a hemisphere pierced at either side. The function of this object is not clear. Possibly the remains of a button, in which the loop, now missing, had a shank which joined both elements with a knop at the end.
