Report on post-medieval silver dress hook from Chilton Trinity, Somerset - 2008 T96 Silver dress hook in the form of a book, with projecting knops and a foliate tendril at the top with recurving hook soldered onto the back. On the backplate, rectangular bar for attachment, soldered on. The front section parcel-gilt (partly gilded). A type of post-medieval dress hook frequently reported through the Treasure Act and sometimes found in pairs.
