A gold cufflink, one, of a pair of cufflinks, of eighteenth or nineteenth century date, AD 1750 - 1900. The frames of both discs or elements and the linking strip survive. Each disc was oval and made of a separate material which no longer survives. Each has an oval gold mount or frame which is a reeded strip formed into a loop, with six projecting lugs which would have clipped to the missing part. A sheet silver ferrule dating from post 1710. The flattened ferrule is made form a sheet of silver rolled into a tube with butt seam. There is a thickened collar at each end and the tube tapers. It is decorated by being pressed with a border of large flowers at the top, and a main design of a large swag of draped fabric or curtains. In the opinion of Dora Thornton, the fitting is less than 300 years old, so does not need to be declared under the 1996 Treasure Act despite being made of silver.

A sheet silver spherical bell dating from post 1710. The bell is made in three pieces; two semi-spherical halves and a separate attachment loop which is missing. There is a small rectangular slot in the centre of the upper half for the loop to fit into. There is a slit with a sound hole at each end in the lower half. The two halves are joined at a projecting median ridge. The lower half sheet is folded over the upper half above the ridge. The bell is somewhat flattened. One disc from a pair of octagonal silver cufflinks. One disc and the joining loop survive. The disc is octagonal and is decorated with an octangonal border of concave incised lines and a central flower (rose?). The reverse of the disc is slightly hollow and has an integral central loop. A bent oval joining loop is attached to the loop on the reverse of this disc. The oval loop is broken at one end. Silver thimble, circular indentations over the body and top, two birds framing a cartouche designed for owner's initials. Worn and squashed. The best comparison is a thimble dating to the early 18th C from the collection of Edwin Holmes (Sotheby's South Kensington, London 31 May 1995, lot 61). It is probable that this thimble post-dates 1706 and it and therefore it falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
