Undated copper alloy ring, 26mm in diameter and 7mm wide. The object is in fair condition and weighs 5.52 grams. The object is intact and is a plain ring with a lentoid section. It is made from a heavily leaded copper alloy and has no obvious markings, except for two rectangular depressions on its inner surface.

It has been roughly cast and shows some filing marks across its surface. Although the date for such undiagnostic rings is unknown, it has been suggested they could be Medieval, 1200-1500.

Roman copper alloy finger ring, 19mm in length, 13mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 4.01grams. The ring is missing most of its loop and has an oval shaped bezel with a sub rectangular cross section. This has a raised lip which surrounds a concave surface containing three sub-crescentric recesses which have possible traces of red enamel. The form of the ring conforms to Henig type 1, Guiraud type 1b/2a. The decoration is unusual but is of a similar style to KENT-EB629B

The ring is incomplete and consists of a worn rectangular shaped bezel with two rounded projections at each side which flank a worn a raised circular motif. Beyond this the ring narrows slightly and a further small projection on each side marks thr start of the loop is oval in cross section.

A Medieval to Post-medieval cast copper alloy strap junction ring, possibly dating to c. AD 1200- 1800. The ring is circular with a circular aperture. The ring is rectangular in cross section. It has a slightly irregular form and a tapering, pointed outer edge. It has been filed on both surfaces.. 36mm in diamater, 4mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 5.04g. These are common but undated finds, which may be connecting loops for a number of purposes.

Post medieval silver gilt finger ring, 29mm long, 4mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 0.77g. The ring appears to be complete but the band has broken and is quite fragile. It has a slightly rounded outer surface and this is decorated all over with a series of raised diagonal bands, c.0.5mm wide, which have a row of three raised dots in between. The inner surface is flat and is engraved with the inscription BE MINDFVL OF ME, with the B right on the left broken edge (as shown in the photo). The style of lettering suggests a 17th C date.

Its bezel is formed of a slight widening out of the broad loop to accomodate a circular shaped projection. The ring appears to be made from copper alloy with a silvered surface or extremely base silver. Henig Type VIII. length : 20 mm, width: 10 mm, thickness: 9.0 mm (at bezel), weight: 3.66 g.

The outer face is divided into two by a central depression with a rounded linear surface which continues down the side with the inner surafce being flat. This suggets two circular sectioned rings joined together. The function of this object is unknwon. It may be a large finger ring? or another type of decorative ring. It could date from the Bronze age onwards.

Medieval copper alloy ring, possibly a strap fitting. The object is a ring, sub-rectangular in section with an attachment loop set at 90 degrees to the plane of the main ring. There are parallel grooves on one face at the side opposite the attachment loop. The object has a light brown patina with patches of light and dark green corrosion. The object is 35mm long, 25.5mm wide, 2mm thick (6mm thick at the attachment loop), the internal diameter is 16mm and it weighs 5.11g.
