Post Medieval silver whistle? 29mm long and 21mm wide. The object is very squashed but the silver is in good condition. It consists of a hollow sphere which has a prounounced ridge, 3mm wide and 2mm deep, decorated with deep notches running around it. There is a small solid shaft,12mm long, protruding from the object on the same axis as the ridge which has a small triangular protrusion near to the base. The object is sub triangular in form and rectangular in cross section and consists of three sections. Firstly is a circular cross sectioned hollow whistle with a semi-circular air hole in its upper surface. On the opposite to the hole is a rectangular cross sectioned shaft which is broken off and the break has the traces of part of a centrally placed circular hole. Undated copper alloy wheel part, 47mm long, 43mm wide and 3-6mm thick. The object is in good condition with a green/brown patina and weighs 116 grams. The object is shaped like half a tube, rectangular in form and semi-circular in section. Each end has a raised lip c.4mm deep. Its external face has three distinct surfaces, the central one has a rectangular recess and appears to be designed to hold the object in place. One side of the object, around the lip, has clear signs of wear, consistant with rotation and the whole of the inner surface has been worn smooth.

It is stamped with a crown surrounded by a border of raised dots. There is a possible G stamped over the central circle, which would suggest a Georgian date?

Two Medieval to Post Medieval lead alloy weights, both are identical in form with one being slightly larger. The small one is 18mm high and 27mm in diameter with a weight of 80grams and the larger one is 20mm high and 28mm in diameter with a weight of 95grams. They are both in fair condition with a cream patina and patches of iron staining. They have circular bases with inward tapering sides and each has traces of an iron suspension loop in the centre of their upper surface. The similarity suggests they are part of a set.

A Medieval to Post Medieval lead alloy weight, 20mm high and 20mm in diameter. The weight is in fair condition with a cream patina and patches of iron staining. It has been roughly made and is conical in form. The cone is 16mm in diameter at its base and below this is a protruding disc 20mm in diameter and C. 3mm thick. It has traces of an iron suspension loop in the top of the cone and weighs 21.34 grams.
