It is very worn, but the traces of a raised rim around its edge can be seen, as can the moulded plantagenet crest of three lions on its surface. The weight has a circular suspension hole in the centre of its flat upper side. 213grams equates to about 7.7oz so this object was probably originally used as an 8oz weight.
