Post medieval copper alloy blunt-hooked dress fastener, 34mm long, 16mm wide and 3mm thick. It consists of a domed plate in the shape of a scallop shell, decorated with incised radiating lines. From this projects a rectangular shaft with a rounded end whihc has been made into a forward-facing hook. To either side of the junction between the plate and the hook is a small circular attachment loop; a third projecting loop, at the top of the shell, contains a copper-alloy rivet. Post medieval silvered copper alloy clothes fastener, 27mm long, 22mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a silvered patina and weighs 3.35grams. The object is sub triangular in form and is decorated with incised foliate decoration surrounded by a border of circles. It has the clear remains of two pierced lobes at each side (there should be a third at the top) which would have secured it to clothing. The object is also missing either a rectangular slot or a hook at its base. The reverse is plain.

Post Medieval copper alloy dress fastener, 37mm long, 20mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 4.32grams. The fastener is oval in form and rectangular in section. It has a trapezoidal loop at one end which would attach to a hook on a similar fastener. Either side of this is a small circular fixing loop, with a further one centrally placed at the far end. The oval is decorated with a rasied foliate pattern in a rope like border and at each side it has two small curled protrusions. Class A, Type 8. B Read, 2008, Pg. 176, No. 665.

Post Medieval copper alloy toggle, The object consists of a solid pointed oval form with a circular section. This is attached to a circular sectioned shaft with a double looped terminal. It is 24mm long, 19mm wide and 8mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 7.76 grams.

It consists of a piece of circular sectioned wire which has been curled to form two spirals with a protruding loop inbetween. This may be the eye component of a hook and eye fastener and is probably Post Medieval in date.

Post Medieval copper alloy hooked tag, 36mm long and 17mm wide. The object is in good condition with a dark green patina and weighs 2.09 grams. The object consists of a protruding rectangular 'loop' which sits above a circular plate. This plate has a border of protruding circular knops which contain a raised cross with a central circular knop. There are four drilled circular holes in each quarter. At the base there is a circular sectioned hook which is C. 15mm long.

The object has no visible decoration and is roughly oval(or acorn shaped) in form with a rectangular shaped loop at one of its narrower ends. Below this are traces of protruding shafts which may have been fixing loops.

Post Medieval copper alloy and silver dress fastener, 38mm long and 29mm wide. The object is in fair condition with a greenish patina. It consists of an oval plate which has one end cropped to accomodate a rectangular suspension loop, 13mm wide, which is seperated from the main body by a raised collar. At the opposite end and at the centre of each of its curved sides, there is an oval protrusion which has a circular hole drilled into it. The surface has traces of silvering on both sides and the reverse is completly flat. B Read, 2008, pg.170, No. 635.

Post-medieval copper alloy dress fastener, 37mm long and 15mm wide. The object is in good condition with a green patina and weighs 4.72 grams. The object consists of an oval domed central section, 4mm deep, which has a rivet? loop at its widest end. The other end has an elongated neck which has two more loops at its base. This neck is 9mm long and 6mm wide and it bends outwards slightly where it has snapped off.

Post Medieval copper alloy dress fastener, 43mm long, 30mm wide and 2mm thck with a weight of 5.41grams. The object is one half of a 'hook and eye' fastener and represents the hook portion. It consists of a sub triangular flat plate which has three protruding triangles containing circular sewing holes, arranged at cardinal points. The plate is decorated with a fluer like inscribed motif which has traces of silvering/tinning present. The object is completed by a rectangular plate emerging from the base of the triangular plate, which would be folded to form the hook.

Early medieval copper alloy dress hook, 20mm long 13mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 0.53grams. The object consists of a sub- circular plate with three circular fixing holes arranged in a triangle near the upper part of the object. It has a small circular sectioned shaft with a hooked end, emerging from its lower edge. The surface of the object is decorated with a series of incised concentric circles, which centre on the lower of the three holes.
The object is very similar to SF-A986B0 which is dated 800-1100.

The object is complete and in fair condition and is rectangular in form and semi circular in cross section. It is hollow and has a circular sectioned tapering hook attached at one end, which folds over the flat reverse. The object consists of flat sub rectangular, angular plate which has a row of pressed (repousse) domes in a line near its centre. Above this, in a trapezoidal section, is arectangular opening centrally placed. Below the object is triangular and has a small circular fixing hole near its apex.

The object is incomplete and consists of a trapezoidal fixing loop which sits above a lozenge shaped plate. This has a raised solid border sitting inside a 'beaded' edge. Inside the border the object is plain. Below this, at one corner, are the remains of a raised collar which would have sat above the projecting hook.

The object is incomplete, sub rectangular in form and section and slighly concave.It consists of a sub oval plain area which is silvered. At one end there is a central plume like motif which is flanked by protruding circular fixing loops (one is complete). Above the plume is a rectangular protrusion which starts to curve upwards to form a hook. The object is one half of a two part hook and eye clothes fastener.
