Copper alloy object, 52mm in length, 6mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 6.35g. The object consists of a rectangular-sectioned and shaped terminal, which has an indented central section sitting on top of a very rectangular collar. Below this are two identical thin plates which widen out in the centre before tapering in width to a point. One is broken across a perforation. This object was originally tentatively identified as a Roman medical implement, but a more complete example (SUR-AC2505) has revealed the true identity of this object - as a post-medieval draughtsman's roul…
