Post Medieval, copper alloy trade weight? 14mm in diameter and 3mm thick. The weight is in good condition with a green patina and a weight of 2.59grams. The weight is marked with the ewer of the London founders company who issued the weights and has what appears to be a crown minus the monarchs initial? The shape of the weight and the marks fit with the smaller ones issued between 1590 and 1826, but without an initial its not datable.

The object consists of two slightly flattened spheres which are joind by a short circular sectioned shaft. The spheres are slightly mis-aligned so the gap is larger on one side, this may be a deliberate functional attribute. The object is reminiscent of a pulley, but it is most probably a weight of some sort.
