Late medieval silver badge in the form of a male boar, complete except for the lower part of three of its four legs. The boar is seen in profile, facing left. It has an open mouth, long nose and prominent tusks; the ears are pointed and the left ear, closer to the viewer, has a recessed centre. A row of upright, slightly rearward-pointing bristles runs all the way along the back from the thick neck to the curled-up tail. Medieval silver badge fragment in two pieces, leg length 18 mm, width 7 mm; tail length 11 mm, width 5 mm. It represents the hindquarters of a lion with a flowing tail. The tail has broken off. On the reverse are traces of a pin attachment or stitching loop that would have attached the badge to a garment or a hat. The lion was probably used to signify a heraldic affiliation or perhaps the Royal Coat of Arms. The badge fragments are silver and date from the fourteenth or fifteenth century.

Post-medieval silver shaft, probably from a bodkin, 17mm long and 4mm wide. The object consists of a rectangular section shaft which has bevelled sides. It has broken off at both ends with one side showing traces of a rectangular hole in its centre. The other end has a pinched in waist with a collar less than 1mm wide. Above this are the remains of a loop possibly for suspension? The surface is decorated with a series of vertical incised lines below a collar of two horizontal incised lines. Above this there are traces of more vertical incised lines which terminate with an incised chevron.

Post Medieval silver bodkin, 78mm long, and weighing 3.3 grams. The object is intact but bent with some damage at one end. For just over half its length it has a circular sectioned body which terminates in a point. For the remainder, the object has a rectangular cross section and is decorated with two? panels separated by an incised transverse line containing dotted/incised lines. Above this is a small plate separated by a transverse collar which contains a circular hole. The object terminates in a rounded and dished projecting terminal, which is probably an ear scoop.

It is complete and has a flattened hexagonal section. It begins with a circular suspension loop placed in an oval shaped terminal. Post Medieval silver bodkin 35.5mm long, 4mm in diameter and weighing 1.81g. The object is rectangular in form and circular in cross section. It is decorated with six ridges running its length. At one end these merge into the main body where it is now broken. Just below this the ridges have linear depressions across the object, forming two collar like decorative motifs. It is at its widest beyond this point and then it tapers to a now incomplete point 2mm in diameter which has a small flat sub rectangular projection 1mm thick.

Post Medieval silver Venetian coin re-used as a brooch, 39mm in diameter, 2mm thick and weighing 22.63grams. The coin is a Ducato issued by Ludovic Manin, who was the last Doge of Venice 1789-97. It shows the lion of St Marc on the obverse -DVCATVS VENETVS and St Marc and the Doge on the reverse -S M V LVDOVCVS MANIN D B. The coin has a pin hinge and part of a catchplate attached to the reverse side of the coin.

Its corners are 'cut away', replaced with inward facing crescents, with slightly pointed upper edges. Its surface is undecorated and it has a flat base. The pin is present, sitting in a circular section bar. It has a bevelled edge up to a rectangular collar and it widens out above this before tapering to a point.

Medieval silver gilt annular brooch, The brooch has a semi-circular section and is decorated with eight semi-spherical bosses separated by spacers. Four of the bosses have rouletted decoration. One of these is recessed to hold a pin and the corresponding one has a triangular depression forming a pin rest. The other four bosses have circular settings for stones, two remain, probably garnets in the setting nearest the pin recess. James Robinson dated this item to the Thirteenth century.
