Undated ceramic or possibly corroded glass? bead, 9mm thick, 15mm diameter, with a weight of 2.92g. The bead is circular in form and sub rectangular in cross section. It has a large central circular hole, 7mm in diameter and no visible decoration.

Roman ceramic bowl or cup fragment, AD 250-410. Length: 44 mm, width: 49 mm, thickness: 4 mm, base diameter: 35 mm. The bowl is incomplete but enough remains to see its form. It has an intact rim, whcih curves down towards the bowls base. This sits on an intact solid 'pedestal' which widens towards its base. The bowl/cup has a fine orange fabric and a brown slip. It has been roughly turned and has wire marks on its underside. Its colour fits it being a Nene Valley colour coat vessel or more southerly equivilent.

Medieval ceramic floor tile, 72mm long, 60mm wide and 18mm thick with a weight of 81.78grams. The tile is a corner section of rectangular shaped and cross sectioned tile. It has traces of a stamped geometric design which has been filled with white slip and surrounded by a dark glaze.. Given the form its probably a Cruciform motif.

Fragment of a Roman ceramic imbrex roof tile. 80mm in length, 90mm wide and 35mm thick with a weight of 289grams. The fragment is bright orange in colour and sub rectangular in shape. The underside of the fragment is fairly rough with a rectangular area of parallel grooved lines, whereas the upper facing surface is smooth. The upper surface has a curved edge on the left hand side of the tile.

Roman pottery kiln bar fragment, 64mm long, 27mm wide and 27mm thick. The bar is in good condition with a grey patina and weighs 53.02grams. The object represents half of a 'cigar' shaped bar. It is rectangular in section and tapers gently to a point. The fabric is course with opaque and translucent quartz and black iron ore inclusions. The surface has grass impressions clearly visible on its flattest side.

It has a grey patina and its surface is uneven and has grass impressions, a result of being laid on the ground to dry out. It represents the central part a bar, probably a cigar shaped one. It is an unusually large bar for this area.

Roman ceramic kiln bar, 110 mm long, 38 mm wide and 37 mm thick. The object is incomplete and in fair condition. It is rectangular in section with a sub triangular tapering form, and has an uneven surface. These object are often referred to as 'cigar' shaped when whole and it forms one of a number of bars arranged like spokes, that would form a base for pots to sit on in a kiln. A number of these have been found across Leicestershire by members of the public.

Possible Roman ceramic oil lamp c. 90mm long. The lamp is circular in form and sub circular in cross section. It has a small sub- triangular shaped spout like projection at one side with a circular hole in its upper surface and on the opposite side is a solid semi-circular handle. The upper part of the lamp has a large circular hole with a lip and then a flat border which itself has a lipped edge. It is decorate with a series of 'tear drop' shaped projections in a row. Early Medieval ceramic loomweight fragment, 123mm long, 52mm wide and 28mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a reddish patina and weighs 274 grams. The fragment represents about a third of a circular weight. It has an ovoid section with a straight inner edge. The fabric is fine with small holes and organic inclusions. One side has an orange patina and the other is dark brown.

Medieval ceramic handle, 80mm long and 41mm wide. The handle is of a course greyish-red fabric with a grey surface. It has parallel lines runnig down its length and has a line depressions down the centre of its surface (to prevent it exploding in the kiln). The fabric is probably Midland Purple.
