Medieval or post Medieval iron adze, 70mm long, 30mm wide and 25mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 199grams. The object consists of a rectangular head which has a hole through its centre. It has a blade which emerges from one side and tapers outwards, thining to form a wide blade. The object is difficult to date, but its good preservation could suggest its towards the more recent date.

Early medieval iron adze? Length: 109 mm, width: 43 mm, thickness: 15 mm, weight: 161grams. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a flat ended blade like section, which tapers in width from 43 to 21mm, where it forms a rectangular cross sectioned shaft. This has one face which is rounded to accomodate a circular hole through its centre. Its possibly an adze or a wide bladed chisel? The objects function is unknown but it was found as part of an assemblage including a possible hammer head LEIC-FF95BA, a bill? LEIC-FFA643 and a possible blade? LEIC-FF8999…

Early medieval gold terminal mount in the form of an animal's head. The mount is hollow (now filled with mud), and has been constructed from a sheet of gold that has been shaped into a three-dimensional horse-like head, beneath which is a plain gold sheet back-plate probably attached by soldering. Medieval lead alloy Ampulla, 55mm long, 27mm wide and 11mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 46.87grams. It is bag shaped with a sub rectangular form and has the remains of two lugs positioned about halfway down. The surface has unusual decoration, one one side it has curved bands with upright linears seperating fluer like motifs, possibly representing a crown? The other side is more worn but its lower half has joined raised rectangles, in a sub triangular form, perhaps representing a net?

Medieval lead pilgrims ampulla, measuring 33mm long, 28mm wide, 12mm thick, and weighs 28.36 grams. Object is rounded with the upper part of flask bent back and damaged. Rear face is decorated with narrow ridges in a shell design, and the front face has a petal like border, within which is a crowned motif with fine incised lines surrounding. Object in in fair condition, but incomplete, missing its handle.

It is decorated on one side with a very faint three or four petalled flower motif and on the other with a crown with a large central fleur. The crown suggests a link to the Virgin Mary and probably Walsingham.
