Roman copper alloy radiate of Allectus (AD 293-6) (Reece Period 14), PROVIDENTIA AVG, Providentia standing left with baton over globe and cornucopiae. Probably mint of London, S P//(ML). RIC V, pt 2, p. 561, cf. no. 35. The mint mark does appear to be ML rather than C. However, PROVIDENTIA AVG is not an inscription used for the S P //ML issue. The coin was found in the 1980s. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

Roman copper alloy radiate, Allectus, 293-6, PAX AVG, Pax standing left, holding branch and transverse sceptre, London, RIC V, pt 2, 33. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's Corpus for RIC. Find of note - mintmark not recorded for this type in RIC. However, it is in the Elvedon Hoard (no. 120) at the British Museum. Also, the portrait is more that of Carausius than Allectus, making this a very early piece from the reign of Allectus. Found in 1980s.
