Early medieval lead alloy weight with gilded copper alloy insert, 17mm in diamter and 12mm high with a weight of 20.33grams. The object is sub circular in form and rectangular in cross section. Its upper surface has a fragment of gilded copper alloy inset into it. This is sub triangular in form and is corroded, but appears to have two rounded motifs at one end and a hevaily gilded pointed terminal at the other. This is probably a fragment of a larger object of Irish, or more probably, Anglo-Saxon manufacture which has been re-used as decoration in the weight.

An unidentified object made from an oyster shell with a strange oblong hole cut out of its centre. The shell measures 50mm by 45mm and the hole is 14mm long and 1mm wide. It has been cut very clearly with a sharp object and by hand as the shape is not exact. It is impossible to date and its purpose is unknown.

A medieval copper alloy thimble, covered in circular indentations which are arranged in a spiral on the domed crown and run vertically down the sloping sides. They are irregular in diameter and the vertical rows converge in places. At the base of the object on the outer face is a circumferential groove, below which the object is undecorated. The rim is straight and unthickened. The object has a light green patina and is corroded in places. Length 19mm, diameter 18mm, weight 5.07g. Similar to LVPL-536BAF.

Copper alloy object, 44mm long and 12mm wide. The object has a curved end which looks like a broken off hook, about 10mm long and 3mm wide. This joins a circular body about 6mm thick, which is solid for about 8mm. The object begins to widen at this point and has two large rectangles cut out of each side. After these the object terminates in a circle about 4mm thick, at one side this protrudes lengthways and sideways forming a flared semi circle. This was obviously used to hold something, perhaps a strap? It could date to Saxon or Medieval periods.

Medieval copper alloy two piece strap end. 37mm long, 10mm wide and 6mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 3.58grams. The object consists of a trapezoidal shaped plate, formed of two pieces of metal held together at the wider end with a single circular sectioned rivet. The narrow end has rounded shoulders and a rectangular shaped terminal which when viewed from the side has a sub oval form. This is decorated with a series of diagonal incised lines. It is Similar to Fig 86, 614 in Egan and Pritchard's Dress Accessories and may represent a stylised human head?

Bronze age copper alloy spearhead fragment of Davis Group 13. The fragment is sub rectangular in form, with a central circular cross sectioned, tapering shaft, flanked by incomplete blade projections. At one end there is a circular hollow forming the base of the shaft and the other (upper) edge there is a circular cross sectioned, solid centre with triangular cross sectioned projections. The fragment forms the lower part of the blade, where it joins its shaft and is in a very poor condition. Length: 42 mm, width: 20 mm, thickness: 11 mm, weight: 15.14 grams.

Late medieval copper alloy Scabbard Chape , 48mm high and 32mm wide. This item would have been attached to the end of a scabbard. This object consists of a rounded triangular shape with three fleur de lys motifs creating a pattern across the top edge, below which are cut out circles forming a pattern. Below this, about a third of the way down the chape, is a horizontal line in relief.
Below this, in the centre of the object, is a cut out slit about 16mm long which terminates in a trefoil motif. The object is completed by a small knob at the base.

Early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver pyramidal mount. The object has a rectangular form and a triangular cross section. It has a slightly rounded apex which is bordered by a very thin line of gilding forming a rectangle 3.5mm wide. Its hollow underside contains a slightly curving circular cross sectioned bar fixed across the centre. Early-Medieval gilded silver pin head. It is flat and oval, and has a central sunken field with chip-carved counter-relief decoration, partly obscured by a very even coating of dark brown/orange iron corrosion, identified by Raman spectroscopy as goethite (see report below).
The counter-relief decoration consists of a broad raised central stem running upwards from the reserved border at the junction of the head and shaft. Medieval copper alloy harness pendant, 40mm long, 33mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 11.05grams. The object is shield shaped and flat and contains a recessed image of a standing lion, it is stylised, with a skinny body, large head and over-large paws, suggesting an early date? It has very small patches of possible gilding and has a circular hole in the centre of its lower, pointed edge, which appears to be a secondary as it cuts through the decoration.

The object consists of a sub circular plate which is decorated on both sides, one with two ring and dots, the other with three. emerging from this is a rectangular shaft which tapers towards two points seperated by a long groove. The object has a decorative circular sectioned suspension shaft which terminates in a circular loop.

Iron Age/Romano-British copper alloy fitting, 58mm long, 37mm wide and 7mm thick. The object consists of two sub-circles joined together which have a slight point at each side, making them leaf shaped. Within this are two deep circular grooves one beside the other.
