Roman copper alloy bow brooch, 37mm long, 23mm wide and 12mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 6.3grams. The brooch is very plain and consists of solid circular sectioned wings which hold the remains of a hinged pin. The bow is circular in section and contains just the traces of a catchplate.

Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch fragment, 24mm long, 20mm wide and 4mm thick. The brooch is in poor condition with a brown patina and weighs 6.91grams. The object consists of the upper part of the bow. It begins with a circular sectioned shaft which sits above a sub rectangular plate. This has a narrower lower section which is set back slightly giving the fragment an S shaped section. There are traces of a possible raised band running down the centre of the upper half, but otherwsie the object appears plain.

Roman, copper alloy hodhill brooch. Hinged top with a rectangular section which is slightly bowed, part of the catch is visible but the rest has broken off along with the brooch. Dated at 1-100AD. Decoration is a zig-zag style line in between two straight lines. The entire brooch is silvered.

Roman copper alloy disc brooch, 22mm long 20mm wide and 2mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 2.79grams. It is complete except for the spring and catchplate. It is decorated with a central broad circle which is surrounded by a ring of raised dots contained within a zig zag border. This section is filled with red enamel which has spilled over into the outer blue area in places. The brooch is bordered by a thin raised edge. The brooch matches egs, 515, 119 and 1035 in fig. 203 in Hattatt's ancient brooch catalgue.

Roman copper alloy headstud brooch, 30mm long, 14mm wide and 16mm deep. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 7.07grams. The brooch has short, stepped wings and a hinged pin attachment. It has a large incomplete loop at the top and the bow has a rectangular section. The bow appears to have been bent, making it more rounded. The stud is solid with no traces of enamel and the decoration on the bow consists of a series of ridges running its length. The catchplate is damaged, but long at c. 20mm.

Medieval copper alloy brooch, 23mm long and wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 7.99grams. The object is rectangular in form and section and has a raised rectangle set in each corner, with a star like recess. The frame has chamferred edges and a linear decoration, formed of solid linesand rows of dots,on its upper surface. It has a recessed pin rest with a cast pin, which has a circular loop sitting below a rectangular sectioned disc, decorated with raised dots on its edge. Above this the pin is circular sectioned and tapers to a point.

Early Roman copper alloy Colchester type brooch, 32mm long and 7mm wide. The brooch is in fair condition with a brown patina and consists of very narrow rectangular sectioned wings. From these protrudes two circular sectioned 'loops' one is folded over the top of the brooch and down the top of the bow. The other one, forms a few loops and then folds back on itself and threads through the other loop. The bow is circular in section and bulges slightly near its middle before tapering to a point. There are very faint traces of a large catchplate.

The bow has a raised 'crest' running over its head and covering the spring. The crest continues as a raised ridge running the length of the bow. The brooch is in poor condition with a green patrina and consists of semi-circular sectioned wings which have snapped off near the bow. These hold a rounded plate set at 90 degrees, which has a circular hole in its centre. The bow is semi-circular in section and is about 10mm wide at the top, but tapers to a point. It has a central ridge running its length and a thin linear depression running down each side.

Roman copper alloy P shaped bow brooch, 51mm long and 24mm wide at the bow, with a weight of 15.54grams. The brooch is in good condition and complete except for the pin. It has plain circular sectioned solid wings from which emerges a curved rectangular cross sectioned bow. This is decorated with three parallel depressions running its length to a stepped terminal with a slight projection. Below this is an intact triangular shaped catchplate with curved return to hold the pin. The brooch is similar to e.g. 492, fig.225 in Hattat, R. 'A visual catalogue of Ancient Brooches'.
