Roman copper alloy bell, 28mm high and 25mm in diameter with a weight of 8.16grams. The bell is sub conical in form with a large integral sub rectangular suspension loop. The body has a line of triangular cut outs arranged with alternate alignments so they form a 'zig-zag' band along the centre of the body. The bell has been compared to a solid example from Crummy's Colchester report and is similar to several examples on the database, most closely, NMS- E88365 and BH-9C5145.
