Possible Roman iron object, 102mm in length, 32mm wide and 7mm thick with a weight of 23.47grams. The object is T shaped in form and rectangular in cross section. It has two short right angled projections at one end which are seperated by a semi-circlular depression on the outer surface, which continues down the front as a concave shallow recess for 20-30mm. The object is possibly a T-shaped clamp which would have been used in the fixing of a variety of architectural elements, especially box flue-tiles. See NMS-8225A8 Cf. Manning 1985, 131-2, R70-2.

Roman copepr alloy armlet fragment? 18mm long, 5mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 1.33grams. The object is rectangular in form and sub- rectangular in cross section and is decorated on one face. This consists of three triangular cross sectioned transverse linear depressions in the centre of the object. To one side of this are two possible chevron shaped depressions? On the opposite side of the transverse depressions the surface is plain and the object is slightly thicker. Each end is incomplete but the form of the decoration and the shape suggests a Roman armlet or bangle.

Roman copper alloy armlet fragment, 39mm long, 37mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 3.9grams. The object is in two joining parts and has a rectangular section. The object is decorated with a centrally placed row of punched dots running its length. The fragments are missing any terminals. The object is similar to finds from Colchester- Crummy, N. 1983, P.43, fig 45, nos 1708 and 1709. These have been dated to the late Roman period 320-450AD.

Roman copper alloy armlet fragment, 34mm long, 19mm wide and 1mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 2.83grams. The object consists of the terminal of a late Roman armlet and is rectangular in form and section, but flares in width slightly at the terminal. One surface is decorated with two rows of 'wreath' or 'rope' like linear bands which are seperated by three plain bands, marked out by linear incisions. Iron axe head, 245mm long, 96mm wide, 59mm thick and weighing 1.5kg. The axe has a triangular shaft fixing? from which emerges a flared triangular blade. There is a parallell for this form in Manning ?? which is a roman carpenters axe and therefore quite a rare find.

The object has a slightly flared sub rectangular blade with a triangular section. This is attached to a sub circular sectioned, rectangular shaped, shaft.. This has a circular hole running through its centre and where it joins the blade it steps deeply. The object has been roughly cast and has scratches across its surface.

It has a very small circulur hole in its centre, which on one side is surrounded by a depression On the other side the hole is slightly smaller and has no accompanying depression.
