Roman copper alloy miniature axe, 17mm long, 12mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in good condition with a brown shiny patina and weighs 1.18grams. The object consists of a circular sectioned shaft which widens at its upper end to accomodate the centre of a trapezoidal shaped blade. The axe appears to have lost the lower part of its shaft and is simply made, probably for use as a votive offering.
