Iron age - Roman copper alloy cosmetic mortar fragment, 17mm long, 13mm wide and 11mm thick with a weight of 9.87g.
The mortar is crescentric in form and semi-circular in cross section with a slightly hollow upper surface. It is extremely worn and corroded and has no diagnostic features except for partial central suspension loop on its curved face.
