Iron age to Roman copper alloy votive axe, 15mm long, 9mm wid eand 5mm thick with a weight of 2.62grams. The object is rectangular in form and oval in cross section, with rounded long edges. It has a flat oval butt end around which sits a protruding rounded collar. Below this the blade curves slightly downwards at at the concave edge there is a circular hole butting up to the collar and causing the edge to project outwards slightly. A varied selection of late iron age and Roman pottery was recovered by fieldwalking from the Hallaton Villa site. Finds included a very large shelly tegula tile, possible imbrex and other building material. Pottery included a Samian cup base (see leic-5F82D4), Nene Valley colour coat, a mancetter Hartshill Mortarium, oxidised colour coats, greyware, shelly wares and grog tempered wares, including iron age material.

Recovered (on the advice of English Heritage) during an archaeological evaluation undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology Ltd. Iron age copper alloy escutcheon plate, probably from a cauldron? Length 50mm, width 31mm thickness 1.5mm, weight 42.31grams. The object would have been used to secure a handle to a vessel, proabblay a cauldron. It is rectangular in form and D shaped in cross -section. It has a central curved section, 22mm deep, which has a raised lip, 5mm high, rising up at each edge and a rounded, raised 'ridge' running down its centre. Iron age? copper alloy object, 19mm long, 17mm wide and 5.5mm thick. The object is in good condition and weighs 5.84grams. It consists of four sub spherical lobes which are arranged around a rectangular void. These have a rounded oval section with rounded outer edges and a flatter inner edge, forming the sides of the void. The surface of each lobe has a circular, rectangular sectioned, depression which has concentric ridges on its surface. A fragment of a Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper-alloy beaded torc. It is 104mm long, 15-17mm wide and 9-15mm thick. The object would have made up the decorated part of the torc and consists of two flat oblong terminals decorated on one side with two incised lines. The beading consists of two large oval beads 17mm long and 15mm wide and decorated with grooves running either side of their widest part. On either side are four more smaller beads with the same decoration.

The upper surface is formed of two sub spherical projections which are separated by a rectangular shaped recess. The objects underside has a V shaped recess.
