Early Medieval copper alloy cruciform brooch foot, 33mm long, 8mm wide, 4mm thick and weighs 6.68g. The object consists of the animal head base of the brooch which contains the catchplate. It has a roughly rectangular form and cross section and it terminates with a 'trefoil' snout with each lobe being rounded and prominent. Early medieval copper alloy brooch head fragment, 22mm long, 20mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 7.23g. The objects consist of the central portion of a brooch head. It is recatngular in form and flat. It is plain except for traces of the stepped line running down at each side from which the sides of the headplate would emerge. The reverse has an incomplete semi-circular suspension loop surrounded by iron staining.

Early Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 21mm in diameter and 14mm thick and weighs 32.78grams. The whorl is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has one roughly incised cross on its side. Its form, which matches Walton class A2-B1, and its wide aperture of 10-12mm, suggest an early medieval date. Similar whorls have been found in neighbouring Lincolnshire, for example NLM-B1C990 NLM-525B73 NLM-1372D8

A complete cast copper alloy Post Medieval hooked tag, 29mm long, 14mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 1.56grams. The openwork circular plate has a 'heart' shaped motif in the centre, held in place with a horizontal bar going through it and attaching it to the outer frame. Above the plate is a rectangular attachment loop and below is a complete hook bent back behind the plate. Where the hook joins the frame there is a recatungalr protrusion which resembles a four petalled flower motif. The object matches NLM-6A4072

Medieval copper alloy single loop folding buckle clasp fastener with plate, dating to c. AD 1300-1450. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and comprises of three components. The first is a long rectangular sheet which has been folded in half around the buckle frame. Its two sheets are held together at their open end with a single centrally placed, circular rivet. The object is sub triangular in form and has a ridge along its longest straight edge where something has snapped off. Its surface is decorated with a line of six incised ring and dot motifs running its length with a further one on each side near the wide edge. It has a narrower straight edge at its other end which also appears to be detacthed from something. It could be a buckle plate or a book fitting?

A Late Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy linch pin head. It is 20mm long and 15mm in diameter. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 15.55g. The object is cylindrical and has a straight outer section at each end C.5mm wide, which contains a semi-circular recessed centre, C.7mm wide and 10mm in diameter. At each end there is a protrusion, one is rectangular and is 5mm wide and protrudes 2mm, it has possible tooling marks around its base? at the other end is a shallow raised circle with a hollow centre.

It is sub rectangular in form and section and is broken at both ends. It appears to form an animal head like those which appear on early Medieval brooches. It has a rounded upper edge with a flat top and a triangular sectioned 'snout' which terminates with a flat edge.

The object begins with a rectangular protrusion which has snapped off at an angle. below this is a sub-spherical section which sits above a protruding collar. The object then becomes trapezoidal in form while remaining cricular in section. This has a circular sectioned shaft base in the centre of its base. The object is most likely a Roman cosmetic or surgical implement.

Roman copper alloy plate brooch, 41mm long, 8mm wide and 2mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition witha brownish patina and weighs. The brooch is in the form of a dagger or sword and consists of a semi-circular pommel with a short handle and projecting guard. The blade terminates in a point and one side has a sub triangular bulge. The blade and the pommel have raised edges and may have held enamel. The reverse has two semi-circular lugs sitting at the top of the blade and the remains of a catchplate can be seen just at its tip. The brooch has bent slightly in two places.

Roman or medieval stone spindle whorl, 42mm in diameter and 19mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a grey patina and weighs 42.88grams. The whorl has a central hole circular hole, c.10mm in diameter. The rock is fine grained and has calcite/quartz small rounded inclusions.

Medieval copper alloy mount, 34mm in diameter and 4mm thick. The mount is in good condition with a green patina and weighs 7.19grams. The mount is circular and is domed. It is decorated on its upper side with a series of four concentric incised circles. It has a central circular hole and has two sub rectangular rivets? attached near the edge. The mount is probably a bridle boss, A similar one is pictured in Fig 40, eg.13 in The Medieval Horse and its equipment.
