Roman copper alloy tripod leg, 46mm long, 11mm wide and 10 mm thick and weighing 9.82grams. The object consists of a circular sectioned shaft which is decorated with a protruding lions head about a third of the way down. Beneath this the shaft forms a bow (to represent the animals body?) and then continues for a few millimetres as a circular shaft again. Sitting above this shaft is a thin circular disc, with a sphere on top. The sphere has a rectangular sectioned slit cut through it, running left to right when viewed face on. The object is part of a tripod support.
