Medieval? hook, 22mm long, 8mm wide and 6mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 2.32 grams. The object consists of a hook which has a rectangular section and a slightly tapering 'point'. This sits above a domed circle which has a tapering shaft, with semi-circular section, emerging from the opposite side. The object has heavy traces of gilding along the circle and hook. It looks as though the pointed end is designed to fit inside or on top of something as its is completly flat on its reverse side.

Post Medieval copper alloy hook, 34mm long and 12mm wide. The object weighs 5.92 grams and is worn with a brown/green patina. The object consists of a rounded flat area which narrows and becomes a shaft which is then turned on itself. The other side then widens outwards and upwards forming a semi-circular section, this area shows traces of raised decoration which has worn away. This section thins and becomes pointed, extending 10mm past the other end. The objects is probably some sort of belthook, perhaps Tudor in date.

Post medieval copper alloy strap hook, Length: 25 mm, width: 21 mm, thickness: 1 mm, weight: 4.27 g. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and consists of the central portion of an openwork moulded mount. The upper edge (as shown) forms the lower part of a circular loop now misisng. Below this are two two circular holes sitting above a central tri-lobed scroll motif. Copper alloy object, length: 17 mm, width: 7 mm, thickness: 7 mm, weight: 2.72 g. The object has the upper part of a curving circular-sectioned shaft, upon which sits a head that is a cube with its corners cut away. Although this object resembles a Roman pin of Cool type H, it is also well paralleled from clothes or coat hooks of post-medieval, perhaps 19th- or 20th-century, date. Complete examples can be seen at LVPL-4CF45C and NLM-B5DF46.
