Medieval copper alloy mount or hasp, 55mm in length, 25mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 11.36g. It is roughly triangular, thick and flat. At its wide end it has a circular-sectioned bar which runs through two rectangular folded projections, seperated by a rectangular recess. Below this the object is decorated with a slightly rounded wide band flanked by two incised lines at each side. The object tapers in width to a rounded terminal and on the reverse near this edge are two rectangular projections, which appear to be the remains of a loop.
