Early medieval fragment of a copper alloy girdle hanger.35mm long, 6mm wide and 7mm thick at the loop. It is in fair condition with a weight of 3.72grams. The object consists of a circular loop set into the top of a sub- rectangular shaft. This has a slightly rounded front which is decorated with five horizontal ridges which terminate with an incised border. Below this the object is a flat rectangular shaft whose surface is missing and which has snapped off. The break is fairly worn, suggesting it is not recent.

Early medieval copper alloy girdle hanger, 46mm long, 32mm wide and 2.5mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 15.03grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and rectangular in section. It consists of a lower plate which is 10mm wide, has a slightly concave lower edge and has three further plates emerging from its upper edge. The two on each outer edge are c.34mm long they terminate with a diagonal edge with flared terminals, so that they appear to slope inwards. Early medieval copper alloy girdle hanger, 35mm wide, 24mm high and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 6.59grams. The object is rectangular in form and section and in form with a horizontal shaft with three further shafts protruding at right angles from it, the central one being slightly larger and incomplete. The horizontal shaft is decorated with a row of stamped triangles, their bases running along the outer edge. Two rows appear on the central shaft, with the points of the triangles facing inwards.

Early medieval copper alloy girdle hanger fragment, dating to 450-650AD. The object has a rectangular form and cross section and consists of an outer frame, now damaged at one side, with a central vertical bar. All of this is decorated with a row of centrally placed incised motifs which have triangular forms and consist of three lines which are fanned out. Early medieval copper alloy girdle hanger fragment, Length: 22 mm, width: 17 mm, thickness: 1 mm, weight: 4.52 grams. The object consists of part of the lower portion of a girdle hanger. It is U shaped in form and rectangular in cross section. The upright portion (left in photo) is the lower part of the central shaft with the right side of the base and most of the right (as shown) projection. The object is worn and is decorated on one face with two lines of decoration, forming a border, consisting of a row of incised dashes next to a row of sub circuar stamps.
