Early Medieval copper alloy cruciform brooch foot, 33mm long, 8mm wide, 4mm thick and weighs 6.68g. The object consists of the animal head base of the brooch which contains the catchplate. It has a roughly rectangular form and cross section and it terminates with a 'trefoil' snout with each lobe being rounded and prominent. Above this the object has a triangular cross section with the ridge running up the centre of the upper surface. Early medieval copper alloy brooch head fragment, 22mm long, 20mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 7.23g. The objects consist of the central portion of a brooch head. It is recatngular in form and flat. It is plain except for traces of the stepped line running down at each side from which the sides of the headplate would emerge. The reverse has an incomplete semi-circular suspension loop surrounded by iron staining.

Early Medieval? copper alloy brooch fragment, 32mm long, 15mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brownish patina and weighs 13.10grams. It is sub rectangular in form and section and is broken at both ends. It appears to form an animal head like those which appear on early Medieval brooches. It has a rounded upper edge with a flat top and a triangular sectioned 'snout' which terminates with a flat edge.

Roman copper alloy bird? brooch, 37mm long, 22mm wide and 18.4mm high. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 6.82grams. It consists of an open loop which has rope effect decoration on its upper surface. At one end is a bird head protuding upwards with a small catchplate directly below it. it has a sub triangular tail and an eleborate rectangular protrusion which houses the hinge for the pin? The object consists of the upper part of the brooch and has a small rectangular head plate with a single knop on its upper edge. The sides are missing but the head plate has traces of the bow emerging from its base. The reverse has a circular lug which is corroded with iron.

Medieval copper alloy annular brooch fragment? 32mm long, 4mm wide and 1mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 1.2grams. The object consists of part of a loop which has a sub rectangular section, which chamfered edges running its length. Each present terminal has carved decoration in the form of a raised collar flanking a triangular sectioned area. Next to this the object has snapped at both edges. The reverse is flat and its surface contains filing marks.

Roman copper alloy plate brooch, 41mm long, 8mm wide and 2mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition witha brownish patina and weighs. The brooch is in the form of a dagger or sword and consists of a semi-circular pommel with a short handle and projecting guard. The blade terminates in a point and one side has a sub triangular bulge. The blade and the pommel have raised edges and may have held enamel. The reverse has two semi-circular lugs sitting at the top of the blade and the remains of a catchplate can be seen just at its tip. The brooch has bent slightly in two places.

Medieval gold annular brooch, 21.5mm in diameter and 1 mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 2.64grams. The brooch is circular in form and rectangular in section with a slight concavity. It has been bent out of shape at some point and has small creases on part of its surface. The object has a small recess which holds a semi-circular pin bar. The upper surface of the brooch is inscribed AVE: MARIA GRATIA in Lombardic scrpit and has a narrow incised border on its inner edge.

The object is either part of the foot plate of a cruciform or small long brooch, or is the lower part of a strap end.

It consists of a sub circular head plate with sub circular spring attachment and a pronounced ridge at the top of the attached bow. The bow has a crescent shaped protrusion flanked by rounded horizontal linear depressions. It has an intact stepped foot and most of its catchplate. The surface of which has traces of thick silvering.

Early medieval copper alloy small long brooch, 62mm long, 29mm wide and 11mm thick. The object is in good condition and weighs 8.86 grams. The object consists of a sub rectangular head plate which has three semi-spherial sectioned, semi-circular knops. There is a semi-circular lug attachment on its reverese and a curved bow emerges from one edge. Below the bow the object consists of a flat 'kite' shaped plate which houses the catchplate and is decorated with a border of stamped crescents, this terminates with a semi-spherical knop which matches the others.

It has very ornate and unusual enamelled decoration, mostly consisting of millefiori cells. The brooch consists of a central raised circular knop which appears to be plain? Roman copper alloy disc brooch fragment, 22mm long, 17mm wide, 4mm thick and weighing 1.58grams. The brooch is in poor condition with none of its original circular edge surviving. Its surface has a central circular hole which would have held a centre piece. This is surrounded by a thick raised circular band with traces of tinning. There are traces of another tinned band which would have formed the outer edge. The brooch has two semi-circular lugs for housing the pin, but this and the catchplate are not present.

Roman copper alloy headstud brooch, 43mm long, 16mm wide and 17mm deep. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 8.6grams. It is mising its pin but some of the uncoiled spring was retrieved with the item. It consists of short rectangular wings with stepped vertical lines which sit beside a rectangular sectioned bow. This is decorated with a riase circular stud which sits above a row of rectangular enamel cells with traces of red enamel. This sits above a stepped foot and in front of a triangular catchplate.
