Roman copper alloy T shape bow brooch fragment, 20mm long and 17mm wide and 11mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and is missing its lower half and pin. The brooch consists of solid circular sectioned wings which are decoarted with a vertical ridge near each end. The bow has a rectangular form and section and has two rectangular linear recesses, arranged vertically, which would have held enamel- there are small traces of red enamel in places. The brooch has a broken suspension loop which is about 5mm in diameter.

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch, 45mm long and 16mm wide. The object is in fair condition with a brown patrina and weighs 8.89grams. The brooch has a sub-spherical head which is decorated with raised lines containing red and blue enamel. The cells are divided into two with mirror images of a semi circular motif and a triangle in the inner corner. The bow continues with an acanthus scroll and the lower part is decorated with triangular cells divided by a central vertical line which also have traces of enamel.

Late Medieval gold plated brooch, 26mm long, 20mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a golden patina and weighs 3.32grams.
A medieval brooch in the shape of a heart. The front has cavities to take enamel, divided by beaded chevrons on each side and a beaded panel at the bottom that serves as a pin-rest. The brooch-pin is intact and is held in place by a concealed rod. At the base of the heart is a suspension loop, probably for the attachment of a chain. A Late Iron Age to Early Roman (AD 25-60) copper alloy Colchester brooch, 82mm long, 21mm wide and 19mm deep. The brooch is in fair condition with a green/red patina and weighs 12.79grams. The brooch consists of a slightly curved rectangular head plate, which has rounded edges. Attached to this is an S shaped circular sectioned shaft which begins at the base of the head plate and curves around over the top of the brooch, this would have held the spring which is now missing. Early Medieval copper alloy brooch fragment, 27mm long, 12mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in poor condition, being very worn, with a green patina and weighs 3.69 grams. The fragment is sub rectangular in form and has a semi-circular section. It consists of part of the bow of a brooch and has the remains of a catchplate running down the centre of its reverse. The front has two distinct areas of decoration, the lower part is made up of five horizontal raised ridges and its upper part has a chamferred surface. Roman copper alloy bow brooch, Length: 21 mm, width: 14 mm, weight: 5.31 grams. The brooch is possibly a T shaped brooch, but is fragmentary and damaged or mis cast? It consists of circular cross sectioned wings with a central hole for a pin bar. It has the upper portion of a flat and broad bow which has a raised projection running from over the wings down the bow, as present and this has two irregular holes in it.

Roman copper alloy hare brooch, 29mm long and 18mm wide. The brooch is in good condition with a green patina and weighs 3.06 grams. The brooch is intact and has three enamel cells, the two outer ones still have blue enamel intact. The hare has a large incised circular eye which takes up most of the face and rounded upright ears. The catchplate behind the head is intact and there is a spring with three coils present. The brooch matches 1191 fig.221 in Hattatt's ancient brooches.

Roman copper alloy colchester type brooch, 50mm long, 9mm wide and 6mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 4.42 grams. The object consists of a sub spherical terminal which has a small curving rod sticking out the centre of one side. It then forms a tapering shaft which is rectangular in section and which has traces of a ridge running its length.

Roman copper alloy disc brooch, 29mm in diameter and 4mm thick with a weight of 8.66 grams. The upper surface consists of three concentric raised circles 1mm wide which would have held enamel. The first is 3mm in from the edge with the second a further 4mm in. The last is almost a dot in the centre and is 3mm in diameter. The brooch is in poor condition, having lost its pin, most of its catchplate and some of its edge. It has a green patina and is encrusted with dirt. It resembles 1053 (fig 205) in Hattatts ancient Brooches.

Anglo-Saxon copper alloy and gilt brooch, 70mm long and 73mm wide. The object is roughly T shaped and represents the upper part of a Florid Cruciform brooch dating to the 6th century. The central portion, 12mmx15mm, consists of a series of incised rectangles one inside the other, from this the three 'arms' of the brooch emerge. Roman copper-alloy Polden Hill brooch. The spring mechanism, pin and catchplate are completely missing. The wings are decorated with a diagonal stripe, 1mm in diameter which runs towards the centre. This is decorated with a line of beading. The top of the bow has a raised loop which is holding a small section of wire. The bow sits on top of a circular protrusion, distinctive of Polden Hill brooches and tapers to a point. 27mm long, 23mm wide with a weight of 5.50 grams. The brooch is in fair condition with some pitting and has a brown patina.

Anglo-Saxon Copper alloy brooch, 30mm long, 17mm wide and 2.5mm thick. The brooch weighs 4.49grams and has a green patina. It represents the central portion of a cruciform or small long brooch. The brooch is largely flat and is decorated with incised cup and ring marks, at least three can be seen. One end has a sharp angle where the bow would emerge but the other edges are very fragmentary with no clue to their shape. The reverse has the remains of a loop which is surrounded by iron corrosion.
